The Mastro Scheidt Sangiovese Riserva has only been produced since 2021. Exploring Sangiovese has been rewarding, watching it develop from Rose all the way to a Riserva styled wine has been gratifying. Mastro Scheidt makes Sangiovese into Rose, a 9 month program, 14 month program Vecchio, a 20-24 month program Riserva, and a Cal-Ital program blending Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc all from Sonoma, Lake, and Mendocino counties.
